Devol Funeral home was fantastic. The Director, Kyle Nipper, provided advice and made arrangements were exceptional. In short order and per our desires, he moved my Dads remains to New York, coordinated with Calvary cemetery, set up the ceremony, and arranged for a priest to perform the ceremony. He also took time and understood the customs and culture at the ceremony as it relates to cemetary workers to ensure things were done properly. My dad was placed in a family crypt which also required coordination with Granite Memorial to move a multi-thousand pound granite slab, and to arrange for union workers to come in and get the crypt open on a Saturday reflect his (Kyle's) ability to get things done and do it in a way that presented a seamless day for my family. My father died late Monday evening and we first met Kyle Tuesday morning. In the space of 3 days Kyle made it all happen and by Saturday morning we had a wonderful burial ceremony for my family to be a part of. I had doubts that anyone could have pulled it off so quickly and so well. Absolutely everything was done flawlessly. I should also note that Taleshea Speight took my call Monday evening and did a fine job as my first point of contact. She was calm, clear and polite and always followed up and explained what was about to happen.

I found the staff to be most professional and at the same time compassionate and friendly. I was especially pleased that they did not try to influence me to make any decisions regarding my sister.

When my mom died in the middle of the night I did not know what to do, and I called DeVol just to see if they had a recording of some sort that could be helpful. The person who picked up the phone could not have been nicer, and she had the director call back a few minutes later who was also gracious and authentic and gave clear step by step instructions for what to do. The follow up meeting and proceedings were all handled by Kyle Nipper, the director, and he was very clear, authentic, and capable. He respected my mother's and my family's wishes; the whole thing felt as comfortable and straightforward as it could - just nothing to worry about. I recommend them highly.

DeVol treated my mom with great care and dignity. The whole experience was easy and exactly the price that I had planned for years earlier when I prepaid for their services.

DeVol Funeral Home was so extremely supportive and caring after the death of my husband. So very professional yet understanding and gentle. When I couldn’t decide on an urn, they patiently sent me pictures of ones in stock. They had the perfect option. They even kindly delivered the remains to my home. Highly recommend!
