Lady Bird Johnson Park

Beautiful park with a nice bridge overlooking the water. A great place to view fireworks from the Virginia side.

Lady Bird Park is a great place to watch the 4th of July fireworks with your family. Lots of open spaces and green areas to sit. I would recommend bringing chairs or a blanket for this event. But that's the reason we were here visiting. Beautiful views of the Potomac and the Washington monument and Lincoln Memorial!

We’ve come to this park several times over the past few years to watch fireworks on July 4th, and it’s always been a great location. We normally park at the Pentagon North Parking lot, and walk over. Leaving can take a while, but it’s definitely easier than trying to navigate downtown DC.

Great place to sit, ride a bike or take a walk by the water since it's along the Mount Vernon Trail. There are always people sitting and relaxing as well as fishing...Spring is beautiful here with all the tulips in bloom.
