Tyra is the Funeral Director she did a phenomenal job helping my sister and myself through this difficult time! we lost our mom and my mom‘s final wishes was very simple nothing fancy however, Tyra went above and Beyond. She gave us a beautiful memory blanket of our mom that I will cherish. We can’t thank Tyra enough for being very professional, understanding and extremely supportive!! She is amazing.

Tyra is out of this world. As a funeral director, her level of service and personal touch are unmatched in the DMV. I speak from personal experience because, unfortunately, she's had to help me bury three family members in the past few years. It is clear that she has decades of experience. She also has well-established connections in the funeral industry which allow her to get the right resources, for the right needs, at the right time. All of my family members were very well presented at the viewing and looked like themselves. Some people were so impressed they reached out to me after the funeral to ask who prepared my family member's body. Simply put.... You can't go wrong with Tyra.

Tyra Baker-Thompson Funeral Services are a highly professional agency that provided excellent compassionate and experienced customer service to my family. Tyra was/is very competent and knowledgeable in the various types of services she provided as well very effective in communicating what was necessary to meet my family’s need. Less than 24 hours before the funeral I received a phonecall that was so disconcerting, that what we needed would require nothing short of a miracle. Our family was placed in a very precarious predicament concerning the burial of our loved one on the day of the funeral that sent me spiraling. I began to pray. Tyra advised what would be required to “fix” this problem and to trust her, and I did. Tyra was able to put the right people in place to meet the demand the in the early hours of the morning on the day of the funeral. Tyra walked me through the process , trying to calm my fears as I waited on pins and needles. Praise be to God for a job not only well done, but also for the personal touch of going over and beyond to ensure that our needs was met!!!! What a blessing it was for us to work with a consummate professional . Funeral arrangements are very challenging, to say the least, and Tyra Baker-Thompson Funeral Services went over and beyond the call of service. I highly recommend this agency and her staff. Five stars!!! Excellent and compassionate service and effective communication. Our limo driver was on time, professional and very attentive to our family. There two family members that required extra physical assistance and Michael rose to the occasion. Kudos to Tyra Baker-Thompson funeral services . I highly recommended this agency.
