Laurel Senior Living

My brother and I made the decision to put our mom in the Laurel memory care unit back in May. We have been very pleased with the care she has received. She has a beautiful spacious apartment and a private bathroom. There are lots of activities to keep the resident’s busy. I really like the fact that the residents are not allowed to sit around in their room doing nothing. There is constantly some type of activity going on and the staff goes out of their way to engage the residents. They have been very attentive in the care of my mom.

My mom, Betty, has been at The Laurel for two years now. It is a wonderful place with an excellent and caring staff. They provide several activities daily, celebrate all birthdays and holidays and promote family involvement. Family of the residents are treated as family of The Laurel. The Laurel provides outside services such as hair and nail appointments so that they can maintain aspects of life before the Laurel. The Laurel provides educational seminars like Alzheimer’s and Dementia as well as other topics. I highly recommend the Laurel as a perfect establishment for your loved one. Denise

My aunt just celebrated her one-year anniversary of moving to the Laurel Senior Living memory care floor. The care and attention she has received is amazing and provides much comfort to both her and our family due to the level of support The Laurel offers. I am very happy with the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility itself as well as the attention to my aunt's daily needs from dining to bathing. Most importantly, however, I have been impressed with the quality of the staff. Every person working at the Laurel, from the nurses to the custodial team, take a personal interest in the residents. During my frequent visits, I have witnessed time and again genuine, loving attention given to each resident. Laurel Senior Living has definitely been a blessing during this challenging time in my aunt's life.

My mother has only been at The Laurel in memory care for about a month now and we are very pleased. The facility is very welcoming and always clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. My mother has a spacious apartment with plenty outside light and a private bathroom. All the staff on the memory care unit are kind and patient and take good care of my mother. They go above and beyond. I especially like all the daily activities planned to keep the residents active and not just sitting in front of a TV. The staff encourages the residents to participate and not just stay in their apartments. The food served looks good and my mother rarely leaves anything on her plate. It was a very hard decision moving my mom to a memory care facility but The Laurel really puts my mind at ease knowing my mom is being well cared for. I highly recommend The Laurel.

My mom moved into the Laurel about a year and a half ago. My siblings and I have been VERY pleased with the Laurel. Most importantly, the staff is excellent - consistently caring and kind. I have been very impressed by the way they have gotten to know my mom, for example, the activities she enjoys and is able to participate in and her odd eating habits (!). The nursing staff is wonderful and it is very comforting to have them there when my mom calls to say she is not feeling well. A few days ago, I called the nursing station at about 10:00 pm. The nurse on duty checked on my mom immediately and she mentioned in the morning how kind he was. There is an amazing array of fun things to do for seniors of varying ages and abilities. It seems that getting folks together for activities has led to residents forming friendships that lead to more fun activities, like group dinners and happy hour bourree! The other residents are also very kind and caring toward one another. They seem to look out for one another as much as the staff does. I enjoy spending time with them when I visit! The facility is nicely decorated and is kept spotless. While the rooms are small, there are many comfortable seating arrangements in the public spaces for visiting. My mom seems to enjoy the food most of the time and I certainly appreciate that the staff gives her what she asks for without making a fuss about it. Overall, we are very pleased with the Laurel. My mom seems relaxed and comfortable there. I would recommend the Laurel to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming environment for a loved one who needs some assistance.
