I recently learned about a close friend’s experience with Universal Mortuary Funeral Home in Washington DC, and I can’t recommend their services enough. They provided exceptional care and support during a very difficult time, handling every detail with professionalism and genuine compassion. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything was arranged perfectly, which truly helped ease the burden during such a challenging period. Based on what I heard and witnessed, if you're looking for a caring and dependable service for your loved ones, Universal Mortuary is a choice you can trust. Highly recommended!

You have been a blessing to my family in this complicated time for us. I have heard from all of my siblings as well as friends and additional family members how nice things were. We were lost when my mom passed away. Down to the finances and down to the financial portion you made it easier. You, your time, and your staff are forever in my heart. Thank you!!! For being such an Amazing spirit!!!

I had the unfortunate circumstance of discovering this exceptionally professional business through the passing of my Beloved Sister and Friend (PBUH), with her beautiful home going Janazah offered on Wednesday May 22, 2024. I was immediately grateful for the sincere support and comfort given by the staff to the families and attendees; the accommodations of their viewing room and the ease of flow for everything- despite the ordeal of what was happening. I am grateful to Allah God for them.

Excellent service! When no other funeral home in the DC area would cremate my amputated left leg, Universal Mortuary came through!

Communication has been extremely frustrating. The day of my moms burial was poor up to about 3 hours before the actual burial. Then more frustration started afterwards. Burial occurred on Sunday the 18th of August this year. We waited till Friday the 23rd and started to check on the status of the D.C. Well I received a call to verify some info on the DC over the phone. I was then promised that a copy will be sent to me the same day to proof read, did not happen. From the 23rd till the 26th no communication. On the 27th my wife and I started calling, finally I get a call was asked to review the DC before they submit it to the vital records. To make the story short, today is the 29th; still no D.C.!!!! This is 11 days after burial. My dad and my brother died a few years ago; using two other mortuary services and neither took more than 5 business days. We are tied up in Maryland till we receive the DC and obtain a letter of administration to be able to deal with my mom's estate before we can go to our home in Michigan.
