The Hacienda at the Canyon

There is so much going on every day and there are so many interesting residents, all of whom have moved to the Hacienda for their own reasons. From day one of our living here we had other residents (who became friends quickly) stop by, welcome us, and get together with us at least once a week where we just talk with friends about friends stuff. All have interesting backgrounds and chose the Hacienda and its lifestyle.

My personal experience here at The Hacienda at the Canyon has been exceptional. The members are funny and entertaining, full of talent, and always have an interesting story to tell every day. The food is great; they have his curry chicken wrap. All I can say is wrap me up because I'm done! That' how good this wrap is, along with a wide variety of foods to offer. All of the associates from different departments welcome each other. To help with anything, which is fantastic, being that it's hard to come by people who can actually work together. I must say that the upper management team has been nothing but helpful. Finding an executive director that stands by the open door policy is more than refreshing; it's like going to your grandmother's house knowing the door is always open. All while knowing she's going to have some words of encouragement or a solution to every problem. Not calling the E.D. a grandma, but she shows that hard-to-find type of care and love for the people that work together with her.

The Hacienda has been a safe, welcoming place for our parents for over a year now. They go out of their way to accommodate the individual needs of their clients, and their staff are friendly and caring. They also have excellent food at their restaurants. We wanted to have a 90th birthday for our Dad, and decided to let the Hacienda cater the party. They gave us a great party room, bartender, custom menu--everything we could have asked for--for an extremely reasonable price. They even helped decorate! Not only that, but word of the party got around, and our Dad kept getting smiles and congratulations on his birthday from guests and staff alike. The Hacienda made our Dad's big birthday a really special occasion.

As people grow older it is not uncommon for them to need some help and assistance with their lives. Living a continent away, our sons expressed their concerns for us since they would not physically be in a position to help when needed. Thus, we have considered our move into The Hacienda at the Canyon to be “a gift to our children”.” With its beautiful surroundings and caring environment it has given all of us the Peace of Mind we felt we needed.

If you are looking to live in an active, friendly and safe community, Hacienda at the Canyon offers this and so much more. I've been here over three years and have love every minute. I still have trouble scheduling all the opportunities offered each day.
