Heartland Hospice

We were truly blessed to have Pat Galo as Dad’s hospice nurse during his final year. She was warm and compassionate, but spoke frankly and honestly about the mental and physical changes he was going through, which helped us understand and prepare. Her presence made an incredibly difficult transition more bearable for Dad, me, and the rest of the family. Pat and the Hospice team provided not just skilled care, but genuine emotional support that made us feel cared for. I honestly can’t imagine anyone doing a better job.

I would like to take this occasion to express my complete satisfaction with Anna for the service that she gives me every time she sees me. She is completely professional and thorough in giving me a bath that is totally without a single fault. I can not express my gratitude for the service that she renders. I wish to let you understand how wonderful and professional she is. Her visits bring physical and professional care that is rarely performed in the manner in which she does. She does everything that is necessary to be completely cleaned and im so thankful that she is one of your employees. Her manner and efficiency is second to none. Im very thankful for her and would recommend her services.

We are doing in home assisted family care. Our team is going above and beyond for our mother and the family. We absolutely love Ms. Anna, she is so good with mom, gentle, genuine and pure love. Ms pat our nurse, has a way of explaining the steps and expectations of the hospice care system and helps us to understand the importance of our team and how to help mom. The physical therapist is trying to pump more life but it's not our time and that's ok. The traveling pastor who came to our home and prayed with us. The nursing staff who drop everything and come over at any time for all our concerns. It's overwhelming going through end of life but these caregivers are giving us their all. Her patience in dealing with my mother, her regular communication with me, and her willingness to answer all our questions were deeply appreciated. To the CNAs Jeneatra and Anna, thank you for your patience and the gentle, caring support you provided each day. Your kindness did not go unnoticed. Heartland Hospice consistently checked in with us weekly to ensure we had the supplies we needed and kept us well stocked. We are also grateful to the volunteers and PRN nurses—each of whom was friendly, professional, and generous with their time. A special thank you to Tony, the night nurse. Your presence brought great comfort to our mother on the nights you were there, and your support on the night our father passed meant the world to us. Every staff member I spoke with over the phone was helpful and kind. Heartland Hospice anticipated everything our family and my father would need, and provided access to social workers and clergy as needed. Because of the exceptional care my father received, we were able to keep him at home, surrounded by loved ones, as he passed peacefully. For that, we are forever grateful. Heartland hospice is a wonderful organization. I would recommend them to anyone who needs end of life care. My mother was under their care. Her nurse Maria, and helper Jennette, were outstanding. They both were kind and extremely caring. They took very good care of her. Maria was also very supportive of me and my family. They went above and beyond any of my expectations. I would recommend Heartland Hospice to anyone in that situation.
