Unfortunately I contracted with VITAS to start. It was a horrible experience. It was hard to get help when my husband needed it the most. Fortunately a friend reached out and recommended Community Hospice. I immediately switched and they were wonderful to work with. Everything was taken care of quickly, their hospice wing at Baptist South was beautiful and I never felt ignored. In fact, the nurse that was there the night he was admitted (Jake) was the first person to tell me what would be happening to my husband in his final days. I’d been asking everyone. I appreciated his candor and support. I highly recommend Community Hospice!

Justin Dean is the best liaison when it comes to helping patients. In my nursing facility, I often send in information and need to follow up. Justin makes this process seamless. He cares, is thorough with information, and always communicates with us.

The care at Earl B. Harlow center was truly exceptional. The staff was incredibly respectful, attentive, and compassionate throughout our time there. The facility itself was beautifully maintained, creating a peaceful and comforting environment. We are so grateful that my dad was in such good hands during the last four days of his life. Thank you to the entire team for your kindness and dedication, you made a difficult time a little easier for our family. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about community hospice. My mom was at the Sunbeam location for over a week. The location is absolutely beautiful. I was shocked to see how nice the rooms were, the different amenities for the families, how calm and serene everything seemed. It was a really hard time but it made a difference with how nice everything was. The nurses were amazing. So kind, empathic, and caring. They answered all the questions that I had and also treated my mom so well. They didn't mind that we had one person stay with her all night and would even bring us food for each meal so we had something to eat. One thing that stuck out to me was that they would gently brush her hair after they gave her a bath. Little things like that really make the difference and show that they care. Cannot recommend this place enough.
