Hospice care is about the patient’s comfort in the remaining days of their life. However, this company only provides miscommunication, lack of adequate supplies and lack of support for both the family and patient. After expressing my dissatisfaction with them for two months I finally switched my brother’s care to a different hospice provider. The Certified Nursing Assistants at Ascera were wonderful as well as well as one RN, Christine; however, everyone else provided more stress than Comfort!!!!! My advice is to avoid them and use another hospice provider.

We trusted the hospice care for both of my parents to Aseracare and with perspective, really understand we couldn't have done it without them. They provided resources I didn't know I needed and even after they past, continued grief services. Amazing group of people to see your loved one through the end and a small peace of mind for the worst of times a family may experience.

Darlena is one of the home health aids for this company. Lillian is a registered nurse. I am the owner of several residential care homes for the elderly in Clovis California. Darlena has cared for one of our clients for quite some time. She is a wonderful caregiver. She is definitely a credit to this company. Lillian has come in on occasion to give a second opinion regarding one of our residence and was love so much bye one of her clients that when the client came to stay with us and the family requested that she follow him. These two caregivers are top notch. Thank you Darlena and Lillian for all you do! Update : I’ve recently gotten to know Josiah the medical social worker. So nice to have him here visiting with our resident.

Most of the nurses we dealt with were great, April, Nazrin. Liliian, and Mai, that alone would be 5 star. They were all very knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. I was a bit put off by nurse Cathy, during my first contact with Aseracare. She asked me why I was calling after 5pm. I explained that my niece had been with us for two full days and no one had called or come by to check on her. After waiting so long, I thought I should call to find out why. It seemed an inconvenience to her, even though she never came to our house. The teams didn't seem to communicate well with one another as it took quite awhile to have our niece's address and phone number changed to ours. The social worker, Josiah, seemed inexperienced, abrupt, and uncaring. He did not explain how to get a health aid to come in. He canceled an appointment although he knew we had questions for him. No one from Aseracare has reached out to us, or any member of my sister's family, since our niece passed away on 10/31. Every human being deserves some dignity, respect and compassion in the final stages of their life. Our niece had a beautiful, free spirit. She was an innocent child once. Everyone doesn't have an idyllic, trouble-free life. I think it would benefit Aseracare immensely if they were to train their SW staff. I had never been a hospice caregiver before and I expected alot more support than what we got. I have had relatives with Hinds Hospice before and they go above and beyond for their patients and families. I highly recommend Hinds Hospice to anyone who finds themselves in need of Hospice service.

When they told me I could bring Mom home through hospice I was scared. I didn't know what to expect or what to do. Every person I met or talked to we're professional and so caring. They took the time to show me and explain everything I needed to know, answered every question I had, went out of there way to help me make Mom as comfortable as possible right up to the end and for that I am truly grateful. To everyone at AseraCare "Thank You" so much for everything.
