Amedisys Hospice Care

I, Sandra, Singleton and my brother Mike Hutson, are very thankful for the awesome care our mother has received from Amedisys Hospice Care. I am in awe of all that have cared for her. The coordinator came to explain care and I was so against hospice, but I had no choice; either nursing home or hospice. I had only a week to decide. I was referred by nurse Amanda that was on their staff who said they give exceptional care unlike any other, and all became true. My mother has an awful wound that her doctor said would cause a lot of pain and had probably one month to live. It’s been 16 months. Nurse Lauren and Netra have cared every time they come in every way. Social worker Darcy from the first day told me many things to help us, and I just love her visits. She is so caring and listens to all my fears. Chaplain Grady is amazing also; he prayed with me the first visit and every time he visits. I was so anxious, but he reminds me to trust God always .Now I know God led me to Amedisys , and that Lauren has done everything she could think of to help the wound. I am so very thankful for those who have cared for our mother

Amedisys Hospice Is the third Hospice that I’ve had and my daughter and I are both pleased with Hospice and with Delfina my Caregiver. . My daughter, Sarah, is happy because she is easily available to get in touch with Delfina and find out what’s going on with me and Delfina keeps in touch with Sarah as well. I am very pleased with the care . All my needs are taking care of in a timely manner. My Nurse Lauren is very caring and takes the time to lessen to my needs. Also on call is available 24/7. We have used Amedisys Hospice for one year, and they have helped in so many ways, making home care manageable when we couldn't do it ourselves. They are caring and compassionate. They have always listened to our needs and concerns and tried to accommodate us. The nurses we have seen are fabulous (Jacky and Lauren) and first Delfina and now Neetra have always gone above to provide the type of care that makes people generally feel better and more human, despite their day-to-day struggles.

Amedisys hospice is by far the worse company ever. The clinical manager Sheila is the most disrespectful non compassionate person there is. I don't even see how she is a manager. She doesn't care for the patients or the care they receive. Anytime you reach out with concerns she automatically shuts you down and make sure you know she doesn't believe you or care of your concerns. This company really has made this the worse experience during such a difficult time. I wouldn't recommend this company for anyone's loved one. The nurses feel like they don't anything wrong and also looks over your concerns instead of addressing them. Nurses pertend to bathe patients then over use oils and powders to eliminate the smell. They don't do wound changes properly but instead take the easy way out. They rush through everything and get mad when you observe them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I WOULDNT RECOMMEND
