This is a place that took care of my husband and when it was time to do the pre burial viewing I couldn't tell he was the one because they took good care of him.Their services are awesome. Long-lived Green funeral.

If I could give negative stars I would...One of the worst funeral homes in the DMV. I recently attended a funeral service here, and the experience was deeply disappointing from start to finish. During a time when families are grieving and deserve compassion, professionalism, and respect, this funeral home failed on nearly every level. The owner was extremely disrespectful to my family and me. What was even more concerning was the apparent lack of care and attention given to the families they serve. Rather than creating a comforting and dignified environment, the atmosphere felt neglected and unprofessional. The facility itself was dirty and poorly maintained. There was a dog freely roaming the premises, making the funeral home feel more like a dog park than a place of mourning. The odor throughout the building reflected this, and the bathrooms appeared as though they had not been properly cleaned in months. Then you see the owner in the community like she is Mrs. Alexandria and her establishment is HORRIBLE. Wanting top dollar for service but giving bare bones service. Privacy and professionalism were also major concerns. The receptionist who I think said her name was Helen openly discussed personal matters involving other families within earshot of visitors, which is completely inappropriate and disrespectful to those entrusting the funeral home with sensitive family matters. While in the office I overheard Mr. Carter and the owner talk about how "ghetto" a family was and they just need to pay their bill. The overall presentation of the business was equally troubling. The staff appeared unkept, and the owner herself projected an unprofessional image while walking around the facility in flip-flops and looking as though basic grooming and presentation were an afterthought. Nothing about the operation conveyed care, attention to detail, or pride in serving families during one of the most difficult moments of their lives. To make matters worse, the hearse used for the service appeared outdated and was displaying expired tags on the day of the funeral. This only reinforced the impression that standards and professionalism are not a priority there. When families choose a funeral home, they expect experienced professionals who will honor their loved ones with dignity and respect. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling as though we were dealing with people who were simply going through the motions rather than providing the level of care and professionalism that grieving families deserve. Then I watch someone that identified himself as staff, sleeping on the front porch. I would not recommend this funeral home to anyone seeking a respectful, clean, and professionally managed service for their loved one.

We had a lovely end of life celebration for my father - warm and respectful - but overall this business has a pretty casual attitude towards administrative tasks and customer service. The homey family atmosphere (dogs wandering around the office, etc.) feels comfortable and familiar - like home - but it comes back to bite you when you realize that this business is responsible for critical, important details that must be done correctly. For example: handling your loved one's cremated remains in a precise and professional way. Another example: getting papers filed correctly with the government so that the family receives an accurate certificate of death, which you'll need in order to handle your loved one's financial affairs. So if you're lucky and everything goes smoothly you'll have a lovely experience with Greene Funeral Home. But don't leave it to chance: check, double check and triple check their work when it comes to administrative/logistical details. If you're not up to doing this (and you might not be if you're dealing with the loss of a loved one) then go elsewhere.

My father passed away in late Sep'20, and Greene Funeral Home took care of my family. We were recommended to Greene Funeral Home through a family friend. They were very understanding, they helped with the logistics of everything. I had some very emotional family members with me, and they handle everything calmly. Thank you for your help during these stressful times

The staff at Greene Funeral Home were absolutely amazing, considerate, compassionate, helpful, empathetic and very professional when I needed to plan my mother's funeral service. The level of care and compassion that Greene Funeral Home displayed for myself and our family was beyond appreciated. Greene Funeral Home also assisted our family with funeral services of my late uncle (my mothers oldest brother) who passed away in 2013. That experience and professionalism alone left a positive lasting impression on our family, and why we chose to have our mother's funeral services there as well! On behalf of myself and my family, we are very grateful for Greene Funeral Home and the staff. Thank you Greene Funeral Home once again, we appreciate you all for your help, assistance and patience.
