Visiting the President John F. Kennedy Gravesite and Memorial was a breathtaking and deeply emotional highlight of our family trip to Arlington National Cemetery. The site is stunningly designed, with a low circular wall inscribed with some of JFK’s most inspiring quotes, leading up to the simple slate headstones where he and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis rest. Our son was completely fascinated by the Eternal Flame, which has burned continuously since 1963, and it provided a perfect, visual way to talk to him about keeping a person's memory alive. For the adults, looking out over the panoramic, unobstructed views of the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument from the overlook plaza was an unforgettable experience. The entire area is kept in immaculate condition and carries a profound sense of peace and historical weight. It is an absolute must visit that perfectly captures the enduring spirit of American history for visitors of all generations.

Touching and understated for a US president. Wish JFK Jr had a stone too,, but I guess he didn't want one. We googled it while we were there he was cremated and sprinkled out at sea in Martha's vineyard.
