Stoney Brook of Copperas Cove

I had an outstanding experience with Stoney Brook thanks to Jamaica. She was incredibly thorough in explaining all of the information about the facility, the amenities. Even when we realized the community might not be the right fit for her needs, Jamaica went above and beyond by providing contact information for an ombudsman who could help us find more suitable accommodations based on her income and care requirements. Her compassion, patience, and dedication truly stood out. I’m incredibly grateful for the support she provided and the genuine care she showed throughout the process. Highly recommend!

Stoney Brook is a wonderful place! I'm so thankful to have a place close to me for my parents, where I know they will be well taken care of and that they actually ENJOY! My mom is a very picky eater, which I told Jamaica when I first toured...mom loves the food ◡̈ Both she and dad are eating much better! Dad called me yesterday because he was able to go on an outing with the guys to play pool (one of his very favorite things to do!) He also loves taking the facility's bus to Walmart or HEB, just to get out for a bit and do some shopping. I'm blessed to live close, so I'm at the facility regularly, and the staff are always friendly and helpful ◡̈ I highly recommend it!

I wonder how many of you that have given this place a good rating have actually spent a good amount of time there observing what really goes on. I have and I would not recommend this facility to anyone. We all have bad days but when you are caring for our loved ones you can't carry it over to your work. Bickering amongst staff in front of residents and visitors is not professional. I heard residents talking about receiving the wrong medication. How is that happening?! There never seems to be enough staff for the number of residents. You would think that for the amount people pay to be there they would have better care. My friend who has a loved one there is actively looking for other care or possibly just bringing her home. This place is a joke and it's sad because they deserve so much better.

My MIL is a part of this community for Memory Care, for several years. We have had a good experience so far with getting moved in, continuous care and the facility reaching out with any concerns. We are unable to visit regularly and it's nice to be able to get a quick response via call or email when we need an update.

I am a pastor and have been going into Stoney Brook almost weekly for over a year. I have always found that the residents are happy and well taken care of. Jamaica, Cheryl and the rest of the staff are always friendly. There never seems to be a need that doesn't get taken care of and I have never heard one complaint from any of the residents that I interact with there. Most importantly, they really have created an environment where the residents operate as a little community, looking out for one another. It truly is a wonderful experience every time I visit there.
