Deplorable customer service and insincere ‘pitch!’ Attended a recent seminar, advertised on WMAL FM 105.9 in Washington DC, and the seminar was interesting and I felt I would take them up on their offer of a free ‘consultation,’ post the seminar to discuss specifics about my (estate planning) concerns etc. Setting up the appointment was easy. Then it got weird! I received a very high number of follow-up calls and emails seeking confirmation of the consultation, which seemed excessive to me and odd. The straw that broke the camel’s back was a call from a staffer, the day before my consultation, who was adamant that my meeting the next day was to ‘draw up,’ a Trust!!?? Never had I shared that need nor was it what I was looking to discuss. Not only did the staffer not understand the background and purpose of my ‘free’ consultation but also asked me questions about my marital status??? Totally odd and inappropriate as was her overall demeanor and tone. Seeing that what I was saying was not getting through and her adamant position of the ‘purpose,’ of my meeting, I cancelled my appointment and told her I would follow-up with an email with the staffer I scheduled the meeting with and share details of this experience. Fast forward SEVEN days and I have yet to hear from anyone at The Collin’s Firm, PLLC. What a shame and what a very poor look for this firm. There are other firms in the market who I am sure would never treat a potentially new client in this manner. I am shocked at the experience and actually feel a bit of a ‘bait and switch,’ is going on here. Take note people and take note WMAL FM 105.9!
