Edit: they did refund the amount so I increased the rating from 1 stars to 3 stars. This review is specifically discussing the after-school programs hosted at JCC. I don't have any other experience with any of the other programs hosted here and they might be great. I had my two kids enrolled in swim class here after schools for the fall semester. Both of them had had limited swim experience before taking this class. Through the semester we were very disappointed because malfunctions with their pool led to them skipping four different weeks of swim classes out of like a 12-week program. They added some makeup days and ultimately said that there would be refunds issued, but those refunds never came and multiple emails to different members of staff to resolve this went unanswered. Not only that, now that the weather is warming up and we're swimming more, we're finding that the kids are actually more nervous about swimming than they were before the class. Our oldest said that they only swam while using a swim bar and never got practice swimming on their own. Our youngest said that he had several times that he sank to the bottom and teachers were slow to get him back up. Definitely would not recommend enrolling your kids in this after school program until they make some major changes.

Over the last festival - Purim - As 2 religious Jewish people from the UK, we wanted to attended a Purim event, we were told on the desk that the event was already done at the weekend. Odd as Purim started in the week!! There were no Jewish advisors on the actual desk, just outsiders - not friendly. We proceeded to ask if we could look around the building as visitors and hopefully decide to join but they said we were not allowed. We found this rude and not helpful. We have attended other Jewish centers in USA and were most welcome. Fix up your attitude people !! and be welcoming to Jewish visitors. Afterall, Its a Jewish Center.

Like every other parent, we were racked with worry about where to send our kids. Where would they not just be well cared for, but flourish? Once we found the EDCJCC Preschool that worry vanished. Our child has benefited from teachers who are caring and creative, experts in their field. The curriculum is ever changing, reflective of the interests of the kids in each classroom assuring that they are learning while having fun. The EDCJCC Preschools is also incredibly well run from an administrative perspective. The EDCJCC Preschool has been such an amazing fit for our family.

We cannot recommend the EDCJCC preschool more. In the year we’ve been enrolled, our son has developed so much in every single way possible. His teachers, the administration and the staff in general have all be absolutely incredible. They are all friendly, welcoming and beyond caring. You can tell they are invested in the children’s wellbeing and want them to thrive in the community. Additionally, they truly function as a preschool vs. a daycare and the education has been so good for our son. The curriculum has allowed him to really learn about the world around him in a safe and conscientious way. I couldn’t be happier that we chose to send our child to school here.
