If there are signs everywhere saying that the building closes at 6pm, why is the building locked and shuttered in the middle of the afternoon?

Great place to get national park passport stamps

The Dwight D. Einsenhower memorial store is a great place to collect souvenirs. They also have a couple of passport stamps that I collected! The park rangers very helpful and helped me locate a couple of places that I wanted to visit. I also bought a fridge magnet from this store. The park hours listed on Google maps are accurate (at least on Saturday) when o visited the store.

I visited on a Monday in the late afternoon. I got a stamp for my passport book and bought magnets and patches for my collection. I was disappointed that l had to use cash to make my purchase because the only employee in the store said the credit machine wasn't working. He also couldn't give me a receipt. I always use receipts for extra stamps in case my passport book is lost. Maps was very helpful locating this store.

Quaint little gift store.  Lots of memorabilia worth purchasing concerning our 34th president.  The lone staff member was a little shy, but very helpful.
