If 1st impressions mean anything, I give this place 5 stars. My 85 yr old father had a 6 night hospital stay after the assisted living facility he was at basically neglected him. The hospital was able to get him over to Villa at City Center for rehab. I went to see him on his first day there, he’s in memory care. Night & day difference from previous two places he has lived over the last 5 years. The staff is so incredibly helpful and you can just tell they actually care about their residents. How refreshing!! A shout out to DaShay and Trina who assisted and provided more information than I have received from anyone else in this process. It is stressful enough caring for a parent nearing their end of life, so when Trina said “just breathe, we got this”, I about lost it.
I felt an incredible weight lifted at that moment.

I spent most of my summer in this place, and all it left me with is the sense that I should have walked out on day one. I wasn’t told I couldn’t smoke weed outdoors or even off the property. My prescribed pain medication was confiscated despite explicit approval from my pain management provider.
Nicky is a bully, full stop. The person in charge means well, but his incompetence is enough reason to remove him from any position of authority. After I declined my medications earlier in the evening (except my seizure medication), Nicky arbitrarily chose not to give me anything later. I had a seizure as a direct result.
Their on-staff doctor violated HIPAA because he couldn’t distinguish one Black woman from another, and the entire incident is on video. They cornered me, pressured me, and treated me with open disrespect. Even basic necessities were a problem; the milk delivered to me was spoiled. I left before receiving the care I actually needed. When I contacted the ombudsman, staff behavior toward me became even more hostile. If they behave like this with someone of sound mind, I can’t even imagine what happens to residents who can’t advocate for themselves.
I brought my insulin with me and accidentally left it behind. No one bothered to call me. I waited for my laundry to be returned only to see one of my shirts on another resident. Nine pairs of socks, multiple shirts, and shorts vanished without explanation. I ate cereal for most meals because the food was either inedible or I felt unsafe eating it.
If you value the wellbeing of the person you’re considering placing here, do not send them to this facility

I would give them zero stars if possible. NEVER send your seriously ill loved one to this place. In my experience, they were not equipped to care for someone in my sister’s condition, and what we witnessed felt extremely neglectful.
My sister was sent here after a stroke. When she went into distress, no one noticed her inability to breathe. My niece arrived to visit, found her in this condition and had to call 911 herself because my sister’s nurse was nowhere to be found, and no one else at the facility seemed able to make the call. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance and died within 15 minutes of arriving.
I cannot say what would have happened under different circumstances, but I strongly believe that if she had received closer monitoring and more attentive care, things might have turned out differently. This was our family’s experience, and I would never want anyone else to go through what we did.

all of my visits in the last few days has left me with a very positive view of everyone from the front desk at te entry to the entire staff at how well the attend to the patients needs and their various concerns and needs. I would give this establishment an excellent rating.

My siblings and I were very impressed with the staff. We were also happy to see a clean and orderly environment. We left there happy to know our brother was in good hands. The Villa has a great team.
