Awful place.. food that you get in foam boxes is COLD and most is non edible...I heard the dining room has been closed for 6 years...and so is the coffee shop called Java Joe's...the pool is greenish and dirty...no movies in movie theater.
No help when you need it. There are much better places then Windemere. I am taking my dad out of that hole. Everything promised but not kept...in asst.living side so short handed no activities for residents...Way to many low income Pace residents that are mixed In with residents that pay full price of $5,000.00 per month...Think twice before bringing your love ones to Windemere Park..

This place is terrible.
My Aunt has been here since 2/27/26 for a short stay, to give her son, that is her "home aid", a break. Which has been pointless because we have been on the phone with him to discuss her treatment, or lack there of, here at the facility.
*This all starts with PACE. Another company that you should keep ANYONE you love out of or away from.
She left PACE, where she had a doctor's appointment with her Primary Care physician, which happen to go over her complete medication list. They changed her wound/bedsore, which developed in PACES' Care, by the way, and then she was transported to this hell on earth.
The bed did not have any guard rails, they didn't have any wedges to put under her, to let the bedsore breath for healing purposes. I was asked to go get them from her home. I did and I bought the bedrail from home and put them on myself.
There are only 3 working staff people on this entire floor. One of which was on her phone, sitting on an ACand talking on her phone, trying to get some air. I'm not making this up, I asked if she was OK!!!
When I was standing at the nurses station, a resident/patient was also there, crying and saying she was hungry. I asked if anyone could help her, and I was told that her aid was the one sitting on the AC down the hall. I went to tell her that her patient was hungry and asked for something to eat. She said she's gonna have to wait, they eat at 5pm. I said no, they eat at 6:30pm on this floor.
This was the first day and I don't think we left here until 9:30pm.
Can't back today, Sunday 3/1/26. I had to wait for someone to let me in. A random patient let me in the lobby, but I still had to wait to get to the floor. You need a FOB that costs 50.00 dollars. No, one is not standard for the family of the residents. And, I didn't ask if you get your money back when you return the FOB because my mouth was still on the floor! You can't be serious?! I had to ask the obvious. What happens if there is an emergency?
Finally got to her room and she told me that Sunday was the first day they washed her and she had to ask for it. But, and get this, they didn't have ANY face towels or towels. They had to get some from another floor.
I've had enough of this Tomfoolery!!!
Went to the nurses station, told them what happened Friday, then asked about a sponge/bed bath. It's NOT part of the daily routine. Read that again. It's NOT part of the daily routine. She was scheduled for a shower, Friday and Tuesday. But other than that, she had to request a wash. Even though she has the bedsore, unable to walk, no way to the sink, if she could, and her memory is going, but she has to ask!?! She barely remembers if she ate, let alone washed.
Some things should be a given....
*Still didn't get an answer about what to do in an emergency.
Just saying.....

Grace at Windemere Park is amazing to work with and families are lucky to have her attention to detail, kindness and support! A tour of her community with her is worth the time for sure! She is passionate and her empathy for her residents is endless!❤️

The administrators, Lisa and Grace are amazing! They helped me navigate through a difficult decision and went above and beyond answering questions and putting me in touch with the right people. Even though my sister was not a good fit due to limitations of financial availability and her over all health needs, they continued to share helpful, caring and knowledgeable information. I loved Windemeres facility and opinions. I would highly recommend!

This place is amazing and working with Grace, the leasing specialist has been the most comforting experience since I've started researching for these communities. We'll worth looking into this community.
