We chose TRS because of the positive reviews, but our experience has been deeply disappointing.
1. My child has come home in tears after repeated issues with classmates, and my concerns have not been meaningfully addressed.
2. The school’s communication policy only sends important emails to “parents,” with no exceptions for other adults who help raise a child. Most students have two adults tracking these important messages, and because I am a single mother my child has been left without that support, despite having loving family members ready to help.
This has made my child more isolated and unsupported in an environment where other children naturally have multiple adults helping them.
Policies like this make life harder for children who already face different family circumstances and send the message that non-traditional families aren’t fully included.
I suggest looking beyond these reviews and checking local parent forums or message boards for unfiltered experiences.

A very unloving and hurtful community. Where they don’t allow life time members like me to participate in basic elements of Judaism. By far the worst experience I have ever had in Reform Judaism was at temple rodef shalom in my late 20s.

A very warm and welcoming congregation, and a beautiful event space!

The best synagogue I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Fantastic vibrant community. Incredibly welcoming and supportive. Wonderful clergy. This is a model synagogue.

TRS clergy are amazing - moving, musical services and loving support in times of need. Staff provide an incredible variety of programming for pre-schoolers through senior citizens so it's always buzzing in this beautiful & well-organized institution.
