Encore at Wilmington is a well-run community with a caring team and a positive atmosphere. Staff are dedicated, leadership is engaged, and residents are treated with respect and dignity. It’s a place where people genuinely try to do the right thing every day.

I visited Shipley Living and met with Chanel, Jameca, Joanne and Keisha and others. Everyone in this facility is very welcoming. The staff is extremely helpful. I also was fortunate to have tried the food. They have what was called the Shipley Burger. It was excellent! I met a few of the residents as well and it was overall a great experience. I was treated like family during my visit. Thank you!

My Aunt, who suffered a severe stroke in June 2024, has been provided warm, passionate, and loving care at Shipley Living ever since. Through the professionalism and patient administration of her meds, meals, all her needs, she is now flourishing in her spacious, beautiful, furnished apartment. Two years ago, we moved my parents from their home of nearly 60 years to Shipley Living. The transition was significant, but Keisha Jacobs-Jackson made the process much easier for us. My parents have made many wonderful new friends and are enjoying their two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. Keisha is amazing; she is always available to answer any questions and helped us navigate the downsizing process. We greatly appreciate her kindness and professionalism. She is our go-to person for everything related to Shipley Living!

My mother (96) has been a resident at Shipley Living for three years. She started in independent living, where she was very happy. She "graduated" to assisted living and is now in nursing care. She gets excellent care and is comfortable and content. Mom has always said the food is good and the employees all know her which she appreciates. The facility is clean and welcoming. I believe my mother to be safe and well cared-for at Shipley Living.
