My family was looking for an assisted living place for our dad. Today, we met with Janice for a tour of Sakura Gardens. She was compassionate, personable, and patient. Romeo shared a wealth of knowledge and information in an understanding and thoughtful way. We walked away feeling immensely relieved. We look forward to moving our dad into Sakura Gardens.

Did a tour with Janice with my mom. I wanted to visited here because my mother is Japanese, and was looking for a place that would make her feel comfortable being in an environment with people of similar backgrounds. From the moment we walked in, you can hear a lot of people speaking Japanese. We were able to have lunch, which had the taste of a home cooked meal. Janice did a great job with the tour, engaging my mom and answering any questions I had. It is an older facility, but is kept up. From what I observed, the staff is attentive and friendly to the residents. No decision was made today but it is on the top of our list.

I’m very impressed with the hospitality Tomoko & Jan extended to me and to see how pleasantly and respected they are regarded by the entire Sakura Gardens clientele & staff! The physical appearance of the facility was impeccable & clean! The complmentar chicken curry lunch was delicious!

Wonderful facility! Everyone was extremely kind during our tour especially Tomoko and Janice! Janice was a hoot, and felt like a family member immediately! They gave us a tour and served us a delicious lunch. Hoping to get my parents into Sakura Gardens in the near future as they loved the vibe.

I have a family member that has been a resident of Sakura Gardens for six years now. This place is unique as it hosts a unique demographic of Japanese speaking residents. This place has been amazing for our family member, as she is able to actively socialize with other residents, whereas she may have been isolated at another facility. There are so many activities for them to choose from (exercise classes, group games, movie nights, bingo, etc.)...there is something for everyone. They have a large dining room where they have their scheduled meals. They celebrate special occasions and make residents feel special. Their staff is very attentive and helpful, and they ensure a safe environment for all. My family member really thrives here and enjoys the aspects of having friends that speak the same language, but also have other commonalities. This is place well worth the time to visit if your loved one speaks Japanese. And if they don't...it's still worth a visit as there are still many residents of Japanese ancestry that speak only English. We have peace of mind that our loved ones are happy and enjoy being there.
