For the most part everyone has been friendly my father hated everything about the place when he first moved in but seems to have settled in i believe that the food could be better but not the worst I have seen

We moved my mom here, they sold us a bill of goods. I went to visit her and the staff did NOT even know she had moved in, she was being completely neglected! An ambulance had to be called and when we arrived at the emergency room the doctors informed us they believed she had been dehydrated and overly sedated. They said she was catatonic. See the attached photo, that is the food they serve the residents. A meal there consists of white bread with cheese whiz and cheetos. How these people look at themselves in the mirror is beyond me. There's a special place in hell for people who treat the elderly this way.

Very very disturbing and CORRUPT! My mom passed away there this year. I was very suspicious when they took her phone away. My mom also said they were poisoning her and I wish I would have took her more seriously. I thought she was just overacting because she wanted to go home. In hindsight- She was right. The director Mary is not trustworthy as she never returned my calls. She indicated to my brother that my mom didn’t need to get outside Hospice care, when the time came, as they have their own “in house” hospice care. She found they were a nuisance. A RED FLAG! My brother, who is not the brightest, agreed to it. I did not but Mary only followed his direction. Soon thereafter… My brother failed to get her Medicaid filled out therefore they were not getting their full amount money. My mom was improving day by day and then all of the sudden they started giving her heavy medication. She was unable to communicate. I became suspicious so I hopped on a flight to get to her. When I got there she was barely alive. I asked to talk to Mary but no one came to speak with me in person. Meanwhile a few of the workers came by to say goodbye to her. It’s as if they planned it. I don’t think my mom truthfully would have lived much longer than a few years but she would have made it at least 6 months to a year… huge difference and time to get her affairs on order. I have filed a grievance with the state in how no one is monitoring this facility. They are determining who lives and who dies based on whose Medicaid is coming in. Do not bring your loved ones here. Very Corrupt!!!!!

We had to place both of my in-laws in permanent care at Fairview. We visited a couple of facilities and decided to go with Heidi at Fairview. During our initial visits before and after placement, the facility always smelled of fresh cooked food, floors and interior was clean. No overwhelming odors resulting of bleach or pinesol. There certainly was no urine odors as indicated by another reviewer. My father in law recently passed at Fairview, his Hospice care was competent. The staff made exceptions and made it possible for us to visit during his last few weeks. My mother in law was moved from the main level to the second floor where she is encouraged to leave her room for meals and socializing. If she leaves the building, she has to be quarantined. Placing a loved one in a care facility is a difficult and painful choice. Our experience with the Fairview staff has been nothing but positive. Have their been a few rough patches? Yes, but a call to Heidi usually resolves the issue.

Fairview Assisted Living is by far the best assisted living facility in Spokane! I was extremely overwhelmed with trying to find an assisted living place for grandma, one that she would like, one that I trusted, one that accepted Medicaid and so on. When I went and toured the facility I was instantly at ease. The facility was beautiful and clean and the staff was so kind and welcoming. Without any hesitations I moved my grandma in and she’s lived there for a few months now. She was like any other elderly person that did not want to move. Now she tells me how happy she is that she moved and talks about how much she loves the staff, how delicious the food is, how she loves going to bingo and going on the group walks around the neighborhood. It blows my mind when I read a negative comment about their staff because every staff member there has been amazing! Heidi walked me through the entire process of applying for Medicaid which took a decent amount of time, not because she had to but because she’s a kind and genuine person that just wants to help. Beau is just as amazing and helpful. We had to move my grandma to another room due to Medicaid and not only did they do all the moving for her, Beau also called and got her TV and phone setup and changed her apartment number through DOL. Once again this isn’t something he had to do but he did because he is just a great person. I could go on forever about all of the amazing things the staff members have done for my grandma over the last few months. I rarely write reviews but I want everyone to know how amazing this place really is!
