We were permitted to provide our own urn so we had a birdcage designed to hold her ashes. It was so meaningful for our family.

My baby passed at 34 weeks, our grief was made even harder by our experience with Resthaven. We had many issues, our biggest was being lied to by Brian. During our first meeting, we requested our baby’s hospital armband because it was important to us. When we received our baby’s ashes (almost a month later), the armband was not included. We contacted Brian to ask about it and were told he would look into the matter. The next day, the children’s hospital contacted me wondering why a baby armband was requested on by behalf. Later that same day, Brian called and told us that the armband was used for identification purposes and was cremated. This explanation made no sense. The armband had my name on it, not my baby’s, and we had already been told how identification is handled during the cremation. If you decide to use Resthavens services, make sure you follow up and remind them of your wants/needs. If you need any certificates signed by a physician, you'll have to contact them yourself. I had to step in and call around as Brian never followed up with it his request. This caused a delay on the cremation process.

Ordered headstone for our loved one 6 months ago. Oh, it will be here in 6 weeks. Never arrived. Turns out, order NEVER put in. Unacceptable! Update...callng this a "delay" when IT WAS NEVER ORDERED!

The staff was very courteous and professional, taking their time to explain everything and show us our options.

The staff at Resthaven was very helpful to me while planning my father’s burial. They took care of everything I asked for and more in a kind and dignified manner.
