Gentiva Hospice

I own some assisted living houses and had no expectation a national company would be this good. We have had a couple residents on service with Gentiva and they are amazingly consistent. The RN's, shower aids, administrator, and medical director are all available and engaged. Not all hospice companies are doing a good job of everything they are supposed to do these days, some are unacceptably bad. It's an important job and they are really good at it.

Our family is so grateful for the incredible care that Ursula provided to my grandma during her short time on hospice. Even though my grandma wasn’t on hospice for long, Ursula made such a lasting impact. She treated my grandmother with compassion, dignity, and genuine kindness. Not just as a patient, but as a person. She took the time to explain everything clearly to our family and made sure my grandma was comfortable during her final days. She truly cares about the people she serves.

My step mother (100 years old) has been with Gentiva Hospice for 8 months and we have had excellent help from the staff. She especially loves Monica who helps her with showers , and she can be very resistant to any shower aides. Monica always shows up with a great sense of humor and cheers my step mother up and keeps her calm. She has been a blessing to us and our step mother! She also keeps us informed when ever she notices anything to be concerned about. Erin is her nurse and she is always there for her when we need her. She is so knowledgeable and gentle with our step mother. Erin always gives us updates on how our step mother is doing and any changes she might notice. Our step mother thinks she's wonderful and we agree! Because of these wonderful ladies, she might see her 101 birthday in January, 2026. We Thank you for their service and support!! It was hard realizing we had to select a hospice for our mother but after interviewing several we decided on Gentiva Hospice. since the beginning, Gentiva has been very caring, kind and helpful regarding the needs of my mother. Everyone has been on board for my mother’s best interests. But I must say that the biggest asset has been Coleen, my mother‘s nurse. She is So respectful to my mother and our family. More than that, she is extremely knowledgeable. She’s been an advocate an educator and when we need Explanation or comfort she has been a friend. She’s a big reason that we stay with Gentiva Hospice. Everyone was amazing and they took such good care of my dear sweet uncle. Our nurse Kathleen was so gentle and caring with my uncle. Kristen would come by and shower him and she was so kind and patient. Anna our social worker made sure we were all ok and let us know of resources to help us as a family. I know my uncle Benny had the very best care from Gentiva. Thank you so much ♥️
