Washington, DC International Christian Church

This church is an AMAZING place! Please do not let the bad reviews persuade you to not come! The church is SOOO good and the people are SOOO nice! I can tell that God is fully in the spirit of the church and that they have great intentions! They love people so much and are willing to meet people no matter what they are going through to be a blessing! It is really hard finding places that encourage you and help you grow and take time eagerly out of their schedule to do it! You will not regret going here! This church has changed my life A LOT! They love people like the love of the lord! I typically have a really busy schedule, and they are SOOO good that I wanted to create this review before I go to sleep! Please come. Please see for yourself what this church is like. We only live once on this earth.

As some mentioned, please do some research on International Christian Church and its founder Thomas Wayne "Kip" McKean II. Very similar practices as Church of Christ. They put a lot of emphasis on the controversial doctrine of water baptism as a requirement for salvation. Their teachings make you believe they are the only church that is the true church and all other churches are false and congregation members cannot go to other churches. If you are already a Christian you will be taught to be all wrong in the past and must be baptized again in their church. If you are from a Christian family you will be taught to leave your family and previous church, otherwise you are not true Christian and will not be saved. Sounds like a cult practice.

This is a great church. The people are super friendly. The testimonies given during service are so powerful; they are so open and vulnerable about their lives. It helps me to know I’m not alone in my struggles. They teach solely from the Bible, not from their own personal opinions.

This church not only saved my life 4 years ago but also restored to me the joy of my salvation, after choosing sin and drifting away from God for over a year! The family, the fellowship, the love, the evangelism, the world vision, the fun, the preaching, and especially the dynamic personal bible studies have all inspired me to love God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. I thank God for this church!

This is the best church EVER! Wonderful service with everyone singing along, powerful preaching from the bible, and awesome fellowship with people that are all truely giving their all to emulate Jesus' heart 100% of the time; not just on Sundays. I moved to DC region from central NY 9 years ago to start this wonderful church group and have been here ever since! If you come here, your life will change for the better, if you want to be changed and become a true disciple of Jesus Christ.
