I recently visited a dear elderly friend at Las Alturas, and I wanted to share how genuinely positive the experience was. While places like nursing homes can sometimes feel a bit heavy, this one truly stood out in the best way. From the moment I arrived, the staff treated me with kindness, respect, and genuine courtesy. It was clear that they not only care about their residents, but also about the people who come to visit them. The environment felt warm and welcoming, which made a meaningful difference for both me and my group of friends from church. People were very friendly and very welcoming this morning. I saw at the main lobby a beautiful tree decorated with hearts and red roses. Who said Christmas was over? It was pleasure visiting the residents this morning.

Attendant at the front desk was very nice and kind. She was polite and caring that patiently took the time to help us register our names and direct us to the room of the person we were visiting.

This is the first time we as a family have ever had with temporary assisted transition at a nursing home. Shortly after my mother was admitted, I had the pleasure of meeting the Director (Mr. Santana) and Co-director (Ms. Adriana Sanchez). Both were extremely welcoming entertaining any questions we had as a family. They offered to be of any further assistance in whatever way we needed and made themselves readily available at our convenience. Staff was very friendly and encouraged us to reach out to them with whatever our mother needed during her stay and while under their care. Naturally being they it was the first time that we as a family dealt with a nursing home, we had a lot of questions and requests which were both answered and dealt with accordingly. I’d highly recommend Las Alturas Nursing Home to anyone in need of such care for a loved one in Laredo, Texas.
