Having a family member receiving end of life care at St Joseph's Hospice has shown me just how incredible the team here truly are. The work they do is not easy. Supporting people and their families during the final stages of life takes a special kind of compassion, patience and dedication, and every member of staff I have encountered has shown those qualities in abundance. They provide comfort, dignity and respect at a time when families need it most, and that care makes an enormous difference. The hospice itself is clean, welcoming and very well maintained. The rooms are a good size, creating a calm and comfortable environment for both patients and visiting family members. It never feels clinical or cold. Instead, there is a warmth throughout the building that helps put people at ease during what is often a very difficult period. A special mention has to go to Teresa on reception. She is an absolute credit to the hospice. Her friendly, bubbly personality brightens the day the moment you walk through the door. She always takes the time to chat, makes visitors feel welcome and brings a positive energy that can lift people's spirits when they need it most. I cannot praise St Joseph's Hospice highly enough. The kindness, professionalism and genuine care shown by everyone here is remarkable. Thank you to the entire team for the outstanding work you do and for supporting families with such compassion and dignity.

My mum was admitted here .she is paralise and dying of lack of oxygen.i requested a nurse to unlock the window for some fresh air and she said it can't be done for safety of children climbing out of the window. For God sake , there's no children in our families and my mum is dying of lack of oxygen.and she comes up with this silly excuse.not happy with this hospice, will raise this matter to my local MP.

Every single person, paid or voluntary, that I met were so welcoming, positive and just a delight. I visited a friend who was a patient and I was so pleased to see the care she received. Even the coffee machine in Five Sisters cafe was wonderful x

St Joseph’s Hospice is truly exceptional. The care here is delivered with outstanding compassion, dignity, and professionalism, and the whole place feels calm, respectful, and genuinely supportive. The team clearly go above and beyond every day — not only in clinical care, but in the warmth, patience, and humanity they bring to everything they do. A remarkable service and an enormous gift to the community. Thank you to everyone at St Joseph’s for all you do.

Very supportive, caring to others, helping all patience, clean and tidy and all doctors and nurse were very nice and do their jobs right unlike Newham University Hospital who have excuses not to go, St Joseph Hospice they do not hesitate to visit homes even on the COVID-19 Restrictions (they wear face mask), also includes education/training, mass/church, gym, social carer/bereavement social club (offer tea or coffee - refreshment for counselling and group support) and many more. very highly recommended
