Staff were incredibly kind and compassionate while caring for my nanny Joyce in the hospice. They are such a hardworking and dedicated team who truly deserve recognition for the amazing work they do. As a family, we are all so grateful for the care and support you provided to my nan. The kindness didn’t stop there either, even after she passed, you continued to support us by offering counselling services, which meant a lot during such a difficult time. Thank you for everything you do ❤️

Our mum went to Woking and Sam Beare Hospice for end of life care, and we couldn't be happier with the care that she was provided. It was our first experience of seeing what a hospice did, and we were all more than pleasantly surprised. The care was round the clock, with doctors, nurses and healthcare assistance always on call to ensure that our mum was comfortable and looked after, as well as to provide family with reassurance. The care was carried out with dignity at the forefront, at a time when our mum was unable to do much for herself which really meant the world to us. If we were ever concerned that she was uncomfortable or in pain, the staff did whatever they could to alleviate this for her to ensure that she was as comfortable as she could be at the end of her life. The rooms were so lovely, with big windows to bring in lots of light which was important for mum as she wasn't able to get out of bed anymore. Everyday when I went in, mum already had a wash and her clothes changed, teeth and hair brushed and it might sound silly, but these are so important and really help you to feel reassured that she wasn't being forgotten about or not cared for. When mum did pass, the staff were so caring and respectful and I feel that this really made a difference for us in how we were able to cope and process at the time. All in all, we are so pleased with the care that mum received whilst she was at the hospice and we are eternally grateful to everyone who cared for her in her last days

I used to think hospices were places to go and die. Now I have a terminal illness I find it's a place to live and enjoy yourself while you still have life in you. The wellbeing staff always give you a warm welcome and offer various treatments that really help you feel comfortable and almost back to your old self. I walk in using sticks and walk out carrying them!

Words cannot describe how amazing the staff are and the support they offer for not only the patients but their family and friends too. Myself and my family are so appreciative of the care my Nanna received in her final weeks after battling cancer for almost a year and a half so thank you all so much for everything you do.
