Arden Courts (Kensington)

Our mother just had her 3 year anniversary at Arden Courts of Kensington. It was so difficult to leave her there, but it didn't take long for her to consider it her "home". The staff is exceptional. . .They truly love our mom. We especially want to shout out mom's favorite care-giver, Mabel, the most wonderful nurse, Margaret and the outstanding Sheila who helps our family navigate difficult topics. Some facilities may appear better on the exterior. . .but it's the HEART at Arden Courts of Kensington that truly shines through.

Arden courts Kensington is a perfect fit for my family member. We love the courtyards and their dog ! Low turnover which is so important. So glad we found Arden

My dad had a 5 day respite stay at Arden Courts Kensington in May. I was nervous to leave him but the staff was exceptional from start to finish so I was able to enjoy my vacation. All of our questions were answered prior to move-in. Lisa and Nurse, Margaret came to my house to get to know my dad and make sure that he was comfortable with the idea of spending a few with days with them at Arden Court. During his stay, the staff and residents were warm and friendly. His room was cozy and clean. I plan to have my dad stay with them a few more time this year. He’s looking forward to it.

We are so very fortunate to have found Arden Courts for our 93 year old mother! After a fall at home in October 2024 we realized it was time to have a better care plan in place . Living by herself with additional support was just not enough. The search began almost immediately. After two days of touring different facilities our mind was made up as soon as we walked in ! The staff was welcoming from the time the door opened.We met the front office staff including Beth and Alma and the director Lisa . We met Sheila the week before and not knowing how special she was we soon learned how much she cares. Sheila is amazing and so knowledgeable and she made a very hard decision a very easy one. We felt this is where we wanted our mother to be ! The nursing care has been excellent and we are grateful for the care and support from all of them , especially Margaret. The communication from the nursing staff has been outstanding . The care on her floor is superior and delivered mainly from Petal, Mimi , Priscilla and Clothilda and Selma . I’m sure others are involved and we are very thankful for the care our mom is receiving. We feel like they are our extended family. Well , we are here almost every day ! The food is excellent Tony is wonderful. Activities are fun thanks to Alexandra. Physical therapist, Eleni is the best , so kind and knowledgeable. Let us not forget the amazing Emmanuel who does it all with a smile. He never stops working and is a true gem . We are so lucky to have them all in our lives. Thank you all ! We are blessed to be a part of the Arden Courts community.

Unfortunately my mother did not get to spend much time here — she passed away peacefully in her sleep a few days ago at age 94. At a very difficult time all the staff rallied around my family. I only wish we had found Arden sooner. We never had to worry the two months Mom was at Arden because we knew she was being well taken care of. She had spent two years at an assisted living facility, however when her memory got worse we had to move her. We were thrilled to find Arden because they were a perfect fit. A special shout out to Sheila the Memory Care Advisor whom I can only describe as an angel. Emmanuel the building coordinator who gave us a tour and spent a great deal of time showing us the well designed property, many many rooms, and answering questions. When Mom fell, the staff was very proactive contacting me, getting her to the ER to make sure she did not have a concussion, making sure she got back to Arden safely, and keeping the family informed. Mom always told us how nice everyone was— residents and staff. She was socialized with many fun activities as well.
