Bet Mishpachah

Warm, unfussy, and deeply menschlich, Bet Mish is the DC community that feels like home whenever you need one. For this 🏳️‍⚧️ girl, the welcome here has always been there for me: in bright seasons and hard ones alike, they have met me with warmth, comfort, dignity, and steady presence. Come for prayer, learning, song, and fellowship; stay for the miracle of being recognized without explanation. I feel fortunate beyond measure to have found them, and to be welcomed despite the flaws that make me so very human. This community has been shelter, witness, and kin. “How good and how pleasant it is, the dwelling of kindred together.” 🏳️‍⚧️

I wish to share my experience to date. I've attend several services here and have encountered a welcoming community. The services, which are in both English and Hebrew, are reformed, in nature, and can be easily followed. The Derashah, or sermon, is short, relevant and informative. The atmosphere is quite laid back and very "family-like." This congregation lives up to its Hebrew name! Thanks, Bet Mishpachah!
