Mountain View Mortuary & Cemetery

Amazing Service They were very understanding and kind. They took very good care of my son and everyone was very attending and showed they truly cared. Highly recommend

I visited Thursday August 28th, 2025 to simply walk around and enjoy the scenery with my boyfriend. I am from out of town and truly adore seeing new cemeteries. My first interaction was with a man who had let us know nicely that no pictures are allowed to be taken. I appreciated it and respected not taking any pictures. I placed my camera & phone away, I didn't want any problems or to be disrespectful. My boyfriend and I continue to walk around and acknowledging everything around us in a quiet manner. As we were acknowledging a beautiful headstone, I was approached by a filipino lady in a blue dress. She said "you can't be taking pictures" we said nicely that we aren't and we are just acknowledging the headstone. She proceeded to tell me "you can't be here and you need to leave". Out of complete shock, I couldn't respond. She continued to say "you can't be here because of your makeup and how you look, people are mourning their families. You are making them uncomfortable". The lady said she worked there, if that's the case, absolutely disgustingly unprofessional. Especially for a cemetery. Couldn't imagine if I had a family member buried here and couldn't see them because of "how I look".

My sister and I arrived at Mountain View unannounced with the intention of finding 4 graves of our ancestors. We figured they might be able to give us an estimated location and map, but they went way above and beyond that! Manager, Keith Brown, personally escorted us to all 4 graves, in 3 different sectors. These were old graves and one that didn’t even have a marker, yet Mr. Brown was determined to help us find them. So grateful for his dedicated care and diligence! Thank you!

Beautiful resting place. When you arrive you will be welcomed into a cute little house like setting. Immediately a cheery face will greet you and help you mae arrangements. I love this Cemetery for the small town feel and friendly staff.

Mountain View helped my family and I when no other cemetery or mortuary would. My mom unfortunately passed away in the Philippines despite being a long time SoCal resident. We laid her to rest there as it was her final wish but we still wanted to have a celebration fo her life here in CA for her family and friends. I called around to places like Forrest Lawn and other mortuaries in the area but no one would service us because we didn't actually have my mother's remains anymore so there wasn't an additional fee to gain. Luckily I found Mountain View and they accommodated us without hesitation. Elizabeth, my counselor was wonderful and connected me with a wonderful Reverend (Luft Johnson) as well as all the staff who would be helping me out on the day. Every member of their staff was so sweet and helpful and helped make my mother's celebration of life a very special day. I can't thank them enough.
