The staff at Pasadena Funeral Home were very helpful. Once the call was made to let them know my dad had passed away, they took care of everything else. We never had to follow up with them. They showed care and concern throughout the process.

I am writing this review specifically because of Rodney, and because of the profound impact he had on my girlfriend Kira and our family during one of the most devastating moments of our lives. Kira’s grandmother wasn’t just her grandmother — she was her mommy, her anchor, her safe place, and losing her shattered Kira in ways that are hard to put into words. From the very first moment we met Rodney, it was clear that he was not just doing a job — he was showing up as a human being with real compassion, patience, and heart. Rodney treated Kira with such care, gentleness, and respect while she was handling her grandmother’s arrangements. He never rushed her, never spoke down to her, and never made the process feel cold or transactional. He understood that grief isn’t efficient or neat, and he honored every emotion she had. He explained things clearly, answered every question without judgment, and created a space where she felt supported instead of overwhelmed. In a time where everything felt unbearable, Rodney made it manageable. That matters more than words can express. Hearing that Rodney has been let go is absolutely devastating — not just disappointing, but shocking. Letting go of someone who embodies empathy, professionalism, and genuine care is a huge mistake. Employees like Rodney are the reason families trust a company during the worst days of their lives. You cannot train compassion like that. You cannot replace someone who understands grief the way he does. This company has lost someone incredibly special, and families have lost an advocate who truly cared. If leadership is reading this, I hope you understand the gravity of that decision. Rodney is the standard, not someone you discard. Rodney, if you ever see this: thank you. Thank you for being there for Kira when she was breaking. Thank you for honoring her grandmother with dignity. And thank you for reminding us that kindness still exists in this world. This company made a very loud mistake letting you go.

LaTonya Smith at Pasadena Funeral Home exceeded my expectations. She was patient and sincere throughout the entire process. I appreciate Rodney's compassionate support as it was a team effort to organize arrangements. While I was in deep grief, they comforted me and treated my mother as if she were their own beloved family member.
