Borthwick Mortuary

When we went to pick up the ashes of my husband, and transferred the ashes from the temporary Urn to my own Urn. The gentleman Jeff, took us in the back in a beautiful, peaceful room, with my Urn on the table surrounded by a lei. It was so beautiful. He talked a little explaining things, and he was so wonderful, so caring, so compassionate so everything. Absolutely he was able to get me in a peaceful state. He was wonderful. More then we expected. So please so very please.

My family recently experienced a very difficult loss, and the delay in transportation after my grandmother passed was extremely upsetting for us. We were initially told the wait would only be 1–2 hours, but ended up waiting over 7 hours without receiving a proper explanation for the delay and was actually hung up on. I understand there may be staffing, scheduling, or logistical challenges behind the scenes, but clearer communication and more compassion toward grieving families would go a long way during moments like these. Families are going through one of the hardest experiences of their lives and deserve to feel heard and treated with dignity. Please do better.

A special thank you to Marilou Padilla, who went above and beyond with her communication and support. She was consistently responsive, patient, and incredibly kind throughout the entire process. She also ensured that my father received his military honors, which meant so much to our family. Her guidance made everything much easier to navigate, and we are especially grateful for the discount she and Merci Soriano extended to us—it truly helped ease the financial burden of our funeral expenses. We are also deeply appreciative of our funeral director, Coronado Aquino, who handled everything with professionalism and genuine care. He ensured our father received a beautiful and dignified send-off, which meant so much to our family. Our father was a humble and loving man who meant the world to us, and seeing him honored with such care and respect brought us a great sense of comfort and peace. We would also like to recognize Elena, Jeff, and every staff member we encountered at Borthwick Mortuary. They were kind, supportive, and understanding. Their compassion and willingness to help did not go unnoticed. We felt cared for every step of the way, and we are truly grateful for the service they provided. We highly recommend Borthwick Mortuary to anyone in need of compassionate and professional funeral services.

I appreciated how patient and thoughtful the staff were. Especially for someone not familiar with handling death arrangements, it's already overwhelming. Borthwick is an excellent place to consider if the unmentionable does happen, they will 100% take care of you!

I was very surprised that Shelby came to our house on her day off and provided me and my wife, Linda, with excellent personal service. She definitely knew the product line that Borthwick Mortuary had to offer and provided us with all the options that we needed to select the right funeral plan for us. She is a true professional.
