02/27/2026- I really appreciate Westminster and all who support and keep the music , Art, history, and stories alive in the DMV! I so enjoyed the “Tribute To Ronnie Wells” Friday night. Kudos to Wes Biles(bass),Eric Byrd(piano),Paul Carr(sax),Greg Holloway(drums), Cheryl Jones(vocals), and Tasha Coleman Parr(vocals).

Fabulous jazz on Friday and blues on Monay for only $3 cover. Great inexpensive dinner and dessert in the basement.

Attended their Jazz Night 27th anniversary. Just add my voice to the chorus of praise! Incredible performance. The audience responded with great energy. Downstairs served home style Southern cooking. Three hours of music and dinner surrounded by good people.

The best place to listen to live jazz is at Southwest's Westminster Presbyterian Church. Pulling in local jazz bands, they host Friday jazz nights in the sanctuary every Friday from 6-9pm. It's $10 cash or credit card. In the basement is a buffet of sea food like crab cakes and more. They host Blues every Monday too! Outside of the Friday and Monday concerts, the congregation has a long legacy in the city and in Southwest. They started in 1853 and help the community.
