I grew up at this church in the early 90’s. My great grandfather was a pastor at this church. My grandmother and grandfather were very active with oyster dinners and a number of other functions they held. My family would host our thanksgivings here for years.

I visited this church before and each time I went the pastor lead a sermon that was moving and provided stimulating lessons for contemplation. The church sanctuary is lined with big windows to allow the light in, I was greeted by a friendly church congregation, and a comfortable atmosphere to connect with God. There was religious tolerance, other members of the congregation came from different Christian denominations. Last time I went they had just begun a project to increase community involvement and increase charitable engagement to aid the greater DMV area

Amazing music, welcoming congregation, absolutely gorgeous indoor space and outdoor tea garden. Services are moving, interactive, make the bible come alive. The congregation is mission- and community-driven to incorporate social justice and community service activities into weekly programming.
Perfect space for weddings, funerals, concerts, recitals, book events.

I grew up at this church during my junior and senior high school years in the late ‘50s to mid-60’s. Hope the local community is still providing support. Too far away in CA now to attend. Last visited at Easter about 10 years ago and was impressed with the pastor and the family atmosphere.

My family loves this church because of it's small town feel and the warmth of its community. The church is also progressive and we like that the sermons connect listeners to the world and current events. They have a small but sweet program for children - we also like that they are very forgiving of our small children moving about the pews!
