Law Office of Deborah G. Matthews

Review is long overdue from 2 years ago: I met w/Ms Matthews with respect to estate planning 23 Oct 2023 and paid retainer as required. There was back and forth conversations/meetings between her office and myself which was confusing with quite a few corrective changes I noted that required attention. I then met with Ms Matthews on 29 Feb 2024 and received the final Will which ended being a lot of filler (1 inch thick Will)) that I ended up paying a much higher cost.in the end. In closing, I did obtain another lawyer in June of 2025 who was very informative in dealing with in updating existing Will. Final Will was completed July 2025 and cost for his services was reasonable.

I went to Deborah G. Matthew’s for help with probate. She came recommended by another lawyer who I originally reached to out but they were not taking on new cases because too large of a case load. I was able to book a meeting quickly and the office staff was very kind. Deborah herself moved quickly, and professionally. She helped make a very difficult situation better and I’m glad she was recommended to me.

Debra has assisted me with all my end of life planning including preparations of all necessary documents and the establishment of a trust. Also she was my attorney when I was an executor of an estate that included a beneficiary incarcerated in Georgia which raised various issues. Very knowledgeable and thorough.

if I could give a negative one star for this law office I would do so. My experience with Deborah Matthews was horrible! Her lack of professionalism and customer service made the experience of handling my father’s death and legal issues tedious because I did her job and then she would bill me for it. She keeps you on the phone asking personal questions just so she can bill you a higher rate. Do not! Do not use this law firm. And notice, the only ratings that she has listed on her website are five stars. I hope this one stays for everyone to read.

I would highly recommend Deborah Matthews for all of your estate planning needs. She has been our family and estate planning attorney for more than a decade. When we first started working with Deborah she helped us chart plan that we have been able to update along the way as our children have grown and situations have arrived. She is compassionate, smart and passionate about doing her very best for her clients. I implicitly trust her to look after my entire extended family through the ups and downs of life.
