Deceptive from the outside, you would drive right past it. Beautiful sanctuary. And freshly renovated meeting space with new bathrooms and an elevator downstairs. It's the little things.

I come here for musical concerts and choir gatherings, and this place has such a magical Sanctuary. The acoustics are amazing, and the stained glass look like they are from chapels in Europe. It was recently renovated, and the church itself is huge with upstairs levels and downstairs levels. There is always a security guard so I feel safe when I am here, and everyone here is very welcoming and friendly.

This is a gorgeous place. The first Baptist church of Washington DC.

If you desire a brand of Christianity that will allow and even applaud you in virtually any behavior you wish to engage, then this church is for you. It claims that the Bible is just a matter of your personal "interpretation" and that you can have your cake and eat it too, as long as you are "loving" and "accepting" of everyone else. While this is not true Christianity, it is the reality of our fallen world and many pseudo-churches like this are here to make you feel good all the way to eternal darkness.
