Victorian Assisted Living

If you're looking for a place that is beautiful on the outside this is your place! Sadly, thats the only good thing the facility provides. I was very excited when my mother entered The Victorian! The first day she was there I was already disappointed. The food is terrible, the aides and nurses are nice until they have any issues with a resident. Nobody contacted me when my mother fell, that resulted in a fracture in her pelvis that subsequently ended with her in the hospital. The Victorian did not want her back after all of this. They claimed she needed too much help. After she went to rehab they still said no to her coming back. We took her in at our house until her strength came back. She's now at Garden Hills in Spearfish, a very caring place with a great staff!

The Staff, from Janelyn, Casey, & all of the awesome Nurses & CNA's, the Activity Director, to Joe and all of the amazing Kitchen Staff, to the Maintenance & Housekeeping Crew, make this place amazing. They all care deeply & take such perfect care of our special, beautiful friend, Cindy. They treat her with dignity and make her days bright & special. Each of them are so helpful & accommodating & we appreciate each of them deeply.

The staff is just utter garbage. They are notorious for neglecting their residents. I have even seen it first hand! Wow! lol Oh yeah, and the head dude jason is also garbage and horrible with the elderly as well as children. Look somewhere else for your loved one. Perhaps, the Fairmont.

Unprofessional, UNRELIABLE, hostile, + shady !!!When my gma was hospitalized and had to move to an assisted living, I chose this place because of her roots to RC, the amazing view on the hill, + the seemingly welcoming staff. My gma fell- but nobody ever called my mother or my grandma's doctor. I will also note that she seldomly got her food on time, was neglected by the aides, + got her water filled about three xs a week !!! I wish I could go back in time and put her with somewhere else.

This is such a cute place and right in the middle of things in town. The staff is warm and welcoming and seem to really know their stuff. They were kind enought to let me sample a meal and it was tasty and mouth watering... There are two places in Rapid City I would be willing to bring my mom to when she is ready, and this is one them!
