Edgewood Rapid City

My Mom has lived at Edgewood for almost 6 years. She loves her spacious 2-bedroom apartment and feels very much at home in the facility. She has made many friends amongst the residents and the staff all treat her with care and kindness. The medical team is very professional and attentive. The Activities Department offers many daily activities including concerts and day trips. Housekeeping works hard to keep the individual apartments clean, as well as common areas. It is a real bonus that the Dining Room serves 3 meals a day and transportation is available for residents during the week. I appreciate that Edgewood charges a monthly rate and you aren't billed for "extras" or "incidentals" so there are no unpleasant financial surprises. If you are looking for an Assisted Living Facility, Edgewood is a great place to be!

Mom is happy! We feel blessed that we have found an assisted living apartment where mom is happy and we know that she is safe and well looked after. It was time that mom moved from living on her own to living in a place where she could have someone manage her medications and check in with her, ensure that she was eating well, and where she would have an opportunity to socialize and exercise. Mom wasn’t ready for full-time care, and she wanted to be living in an apartment where she still felt her own independence and was surrounded by the things she loved. At Edgewood, mom has a spacious apartment, excellent care by an attentive staff, and on top of it all, as she will tell you, “The food is Good!” Mom loves being at Edgewood and we are grateful that she is happy and relieved that she is safe.

My family and I recently had to make a hard decision after our Mom experienced life altering medical emergencies. Once she was stable, we knew, as did she, that she wouldn't be able to return home and would need daily assistance. We got a crash course into the assisted living world and dug in trying to find a comfortable place that she would enjoy calling home. After visiting a few different locations, we began feeling uneasy and nervous for what the future would hold. After regrouping and re-reviewing the facilities in the Rapid City area, we realized there was one we overlooked... Edgewood! From the moment we called to see if we could schedule a tour to this very day, we feel so fortunate to have found the Edgewood team! Jennifer went above and beyond to help us get our Mom moved in. Michelle is a daily blessing who deserves a medal of honor in Nursing! I wish I could remember the names of the entire staff because they each deserve the loudest THANK YOU that I could possible give them. The environment is welcoming and the residents are so very happy. From someone who unfortunately lives a couple thousand miles away, I have felt a wave of relief knowing that our Mom is in an awesome place and getting top notch care and attention. And for the cherry on top... she LOVES the food! 😁

Recently moved a family member into Edgewood. They have been very attentive in helping him adjust to his new environment. They helped set up a brand new bed and lift chair that we ordered without hesitation. Overall, a great experience so far!

Edgewood has been a wonderful home for my mom. The staff has made her feel so special and cared for. The director Jennifer is amazing and so helpful, her experience shows and you can tell she loves what she does.
