They try to accelerate death by refusing reasonable attempts to give food and water. They will just swab the patient’s mouth and will tell you it is “unsafe” to give a dying person food and water even though it is for their comfort.
Perhaps they want to protect themselves from lawsuits blaming them for choking? If so let the family sign a waiver stating that they want nourishment given to their loved one.
Assisted suicide is unethical.

My brother was there for 2 weeks. Best team of nursing staff, pastor, and friends we made there with other family members.

My mother recently passed away after a short stay in Beacon Place. We were so fortunate to have had such a peaceful, supportive and comfortable environment for her to spend the last few days. Meredith our nurse gave us comfort in knowing mom was being cared for with great compassion and professionalism

This place is amazing! From the peaceful room to the amazing employees. They took such good care of my Grandfather, he was there less than 24 hours and being here made it more comforting for family. His nurse Deborah was a gift from god, she was the most patient, caring woman! I cannot say enough good things about her!
If you are looking for a place for a peaceful and comforting place for your loved ones last days, look no further.

My Mother passed yesterday. The staff treated her and our family with the utmost care and respect. We were mindful to not have zillions of visitors at once. We were not loud at all, especially in the hallways. This time should be quiet and peaceful for the patients. I read the negative reviews here and I’m inclined to side with Beacon. If families were asked to quiet down I would bet that they needed to be told. They never once had to ask us to quiet down or go home, not once. In fact they extended themselves in every way they could. At any given time I had 2 or more shoulders to cry on. When at the end of my life I would be more than willing to turn my care over to the staff at Beacon. Thank you all for being there for my family yet giving us our privacy.
