There is so much to express about my Midwife and the family. I am very grateful to God for putting them in our lives. Our connection emotionally, spiritually, mentally and physically is so unbreakable it’s hard to believe sometimes. They have answered every call I made to them (we’re on call number 3) and has never turned us away. Ms. Cheryl is everything you need and more. My doula Ms. Latoya is loving and caring (lol and always calms my bp down) and could never forget Ms. Kendall, I am super excited that she is apart of my journey and can’t wait to see what the future holds. The most important thing about being a patient at The Tree of Life is its so peaceful to just talk and not feel like you’re doing something wrong. When first meeting Ms. Cheryl, I let her know that I wanted 5 kids and that’s our number but if God called me to birth more afterwards. I am so comfortable knowing that I can always count on them to be there to give birth to our babies. My husband and I had our first born prior to visiting the center which truly regret it but God gave her and my first born a connection that is truly amazing to watch. He’s always excited to go to the visits and center. He makes sure I follow everything she says at the moment he is telling me I need to rest “Doctor orders”. My second born was literally by her side watching Ms. Cheryl give birth to my third born which was pretty amazing because I thought he would’ve been freaked out but he was so calm and at peace with watching my labor (he was 2). My third born, now, that’s the little firecracker. That’s our chocolate baby and Ms. Cheryl lets him do anything he wants. It’s funny because he doesn’t mess with everybody but The Tree Of Life family he loves everyone. I’m so happy to be going through this journey with them again. I encourage all and proud to say I have my babies at home because I have a group of wonderful women that are there for me and my family.

My wife and I went through a very traumatic experience bringing our twin boys into the world, and I truly don’t know how we would have made it through without the care and support of our midwife and her amazing team at The Tree of Life. She guided us with compassion, strength, and encouragement during one of the hardest moments of our lives, and helped us find peace and healing through it all. We are forever grateful for everything she has done for our family, and I can’t recommend Cheryl enough to anyone looking for a midwife who will go above and beyond for you.

Choosing Tree of Life for midwifery services was the BEST decision I could’ve made! I didn’t feel like just another patient I felt like I was with family every time I stepped into the environment. They helped guide me through the birthing process and made me feel empowered and knowledgeable about the journey I was on. I highly recommend their services!

-Having a home birth allowed me to be present and for my voice to be heard. It was my redemption birth where my, spirit self confidence, and so much more was restored. My birth team was amazing Cheryl, Dianna, and Latoya. These ladies became family through my birth and met my every need physically and emotionally. Birthing with the Tree of Life allowed me to be present in the room, to know who was all in the room, to feel my family close by. My team empowered me to bring a 12.13 lb baby earth side naturally in my own space with no tears! By having the guidance to allow my body to do what it was made to do. My recovery was amazing. I was present for my “baby’s first” everything.

Talk about a servant to her community! From personal experience of being served by and serving alongside this woman, I can truly say she is a gem! She serves from the heart and treats every client not only as a person, but as an individual and cares for them just as. She is always educating herself and her team, and always trying to make, her work about family and becoming better as one. From her smile to her beautiful personality, she is so uplifting and encouraging to everyone she meets. She encourages families to take their care seriously, advocate for themselves, and always reach beyond their expectations. She builds her brand as her family, with love, attention& compassion!
