Al-Islam Mosque

It was a humbling experience to attend Jummah here. Free food afterwards was unexpected & such a generous gesture

Mashallah, its absolutely amazing mosque, its cleaned, have enough prayer space,

Amazing mosque entrance is around the back, a grey metal door. Only staircase so not accessible for disabled. Women pray in the back, men in the front. This is one of the few mosques where it feels like a real community with people knowing each other and being close. If you want to see “real” black American Muslims like one would expect from Malcom X times, this is the mosque to visit. As a Moroccan it was wild for sure, very unexpected.

We must be innovative and guided by the ideal and principles laid out in Surah Al-Imran verse 103. And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah’s favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make His Signs clear to you: That ye may be guided.

MashaAllah it was an amazing experience to perform magrib salat in the Ramadan.
