This church has plenty of parking, a welcoming and beautiful interior. However the acoustics is not suitable for elaborate unamplified instrumental and vocal music; much of the sound seems to dissipate to the ceiling. This is quite unfortunate because the church singers and players are truly excellent.

They put on a wonderful concert of a condensed version of Handel's Messiah, that is free to the community every December. It is a beautiful part of our holiday traditions (despite not being members of the church) and I want to thank them for putting it on every year! Happy Holidays!

Friendly church with great programs and solid Biblical teaching. Love the people and growing diversity. The congregants and staff are intentional about following Jesus and spreading the gospel message in DC and abroad in a loving, compassionate non-judgmental manner. Great Day of Service is this Saturday where we support local missions throughout the city. Come join us!

I played a Memorial Day concert here. The organ and organist were magnificent, and the stained glass in the sanctuary is stunning. The sound was surprisingly clean and projected well, and the venue was an excellent temperature (not too cold like some!!) Only con was a lack of space up front, we had a small string ensemble up where the altar would have been, the organ was off to the side, a full choir stood behind me in the bass section, and timp and brass were off to the side. Soloists had to stand *behind* the conductor, which was not at all ideal. So, for ensembles wishing to perform here, keep it small or make sure that everyone who is able to stands to maximize the space!
