For Love of Children

At first seemed very promising, but they give you false hope. My child has autism and this was a last effort to get her up to speed in math reading and writing. I spoke to different representatives with Floc and was told I was really close to getting the help my child so desperately needed just send in a few supporting documents and my child would be pared with a tutor to fit her personalized needs! So of course I was thrilled as this was a long time coming! Only to be told that after careful consideration my child was ineligible to participate in the program not because I wasn’t a dc resident or didn’t meet the criteria, but because they (floc) didn’t have the accommodations to help my child. Why give me false hope then have me send all those documents and tell me my child would be paired ! This was a huge let down and honestly a waste of time and energy all the back and forth correspondence did y’all not know you weren’t able to help my child well before… this is unprofessional. They didn’t even try to connect my child to a tutor and see how she preformed first before automatically disqualifying her… !! If your child has developmental issues due to prematurity or whatever the situation was please beware they give false hope and you maybe let down… as a parent we want help for our children just like anyone else it’s unfair and unprofessional!

They are an aftercare provider at Tyler Elementary for summer acceleration 2024 and Trynita the director has singled my child out for being 5-7 minutes late for pickup when he is not the only child present when I arrive for pick up. In addition, there is 1 week left in the program and decided to wait until the final week to remove him from the aftercare program. Trynita is extremely unprofessional contacting me outside of business hours 8:43pm at night to scold me and my child which is extremely unprofessional. I would never utilize their services again and do not recommend this program if you are a working parent.

I love this organization. They really care about the kids.
