My mother was lured here under the promise that she'd be able to keep her unusually large but old and friendly dog (a Newfoundland: if you know the breed then you know). It was not six weeks until they demanded $700 a month in cleaning fees for Gemma. I've cleaned up after that dog's hair at earlier apartments and KNOW it doesn't cost that much. This was a complete grift, and we left ASAP.
The facility has other problems as well. The food is terrible - nothing unusual for an ALF there - but the medical staff is unprofessional to the point it is downright unethical. My mother had blood withdrawn for no clear reason, and when I asked for the results the chief nurse at the facility stonewalled me for months. We've since left the facility and I still haven't gotten any paperwork. There's just something off about these people as an organization. I hope all RUI facilities aren't like this but I hope even more deeply that I'll never know for sure. I regret putting my mother there, but I'm glad I got her out when I did.

This is the most amazing facility for your loved ones. When my father arrived he was stunned by the quality of the care here. Their attention to detail shows the love that their employees have not only for the residents but for each other. I highly recommend them! When employees are happy at their job it shows in their faces and the way they treat each other and their guests. You can see that each staff member takes pride in doing their job with love and making every detail perfect for the residents. It doesn't feel like a nursing home it feels like a very nice apartment complex with a restaurant style dining room and a movie theater!

Before choosing the Barrington for my father, I toured a half dozen other assisted living facilities. By far, Barrington provides a superior environment. It feels more like an all-inclusive hotel than assisted living. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The apartments are well appointed. Dad raves about the food in the dining room. There are planned outings, and many daily activities. There is an on-site masseuse as well as a full service salon, a gym, and Starbucks Cafe in the lobby. There are raised garden beds outside as well as a wonderful pavilion for catching the sun or shade. They literally roll out the red carpet for their residents. Thank you for making Dad feel so welcome and at home.

My mom stayed in the memory care unit here and I feel she received excellent care. The staff is extremely kind and caring, and did an excellent job engaging my mom with the community. This was a difficult time for us as it was my mom's first experience with assisted living and she was suffering from dementia. Knowing she was in good hands of caring, capable people provided some needed comfort.

The staff at the Towers are very concerned about the residents and their well being. The parties are phenominal! The ressidents are pretty amazing as well. They keep them busy. The calendar is full of activities to do and places to go. A well deserved five stars!!!!!
