US Navy Memorial Plaza

I had never visited this site before! It has bronze displays around the circumference of globe. Definitely worth a visir!

Took my Dad here back in 2023. He served in the Navy and he looked through the pictures of the ships but could not find the one he was on back in the late 60s. They looked it up for him, found the ship, and emailed me a picture of it for him. My dad also talked to the young woman in the gift shop for quite a while who had just returned from being on a ship. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Everyone there was extremely helpful and friendly.

Our son is currently serving in the navy so we decided to stop by this memorial on our last trip to DC; it’s definitely worth the stop. Unfortunately the museum was closed for a private event but the outside memorial is very nicely done with bronze sculptures and water features.

Went there today and wow, it was honestly amazing. Such a beautiful and powerful place. Everything around you really makes you stop and think about what those men and women went through. The statues, the details, everything feels so real and meaningful. It was kind of emotional just standing there and taking it all in. The day was perfect too, sunny and calm, which made the whole experience even better
