Going at night brings a whole new perspective! All the monuments are open 24 hours a day and you have no crowds, nothing but silence. Truly gives you a chance to reflect the sacrifices that are past made for our future.

Such a large and great memorial. Walking around the fountain area you can see each US state and territory with its own column and wreath. The backdrop of the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument are just great.

I can't really say anything that hasn't already been said about this memorial. One thing that stuck out to me this time, even after seeing it year-after-year, is the area that's dedicated to all of those who have fallen. It says "Here we mark the price of freedom" and each star represents a life lost. It means a lot more to me now that I've lost my own friends in war. Very powerful, very moving. Thank you to all who serve, and who have served.

The World War II Memorial is a truly powerful and unforgettable place to visit. Located at the heart of the National Mall, it beautifully honors the courage, sacrifice, and unity of the millions who served during World War II. The design is both grand and meaningful, with 56 pillars representing the states and territories, surrounding a stunning central fountain that adds a sense of calm and reflection. One of the most moving features is the Freedom Wall, where thousands of gold stars represent the lives lost in the war. Standing in front of it creates a deep sense of respect and gratitude. The memorial is well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully laid out, allowing visitors to walk through and take in each element at their own pace. The atmosphere is peaceful yet emotional, making it more than just a tourist attraction—it’s a place of remembrance. Visiting in the evening, when the lights reflect off the water, adds to the experience. Overall, the World War II Memorial is a must-visit landmark in Washington, D.C., offering a meaningful and memorable tribute to history.
