We were looking for an affordable and local charter to spread my dad's ashes at sea, and we are so thankful and grateful that we found The Angels Ashes. Not only were boat owner, Pat, and his son, Captain Sean, amazingly gracious, they made every step of the process simple and easy.
One of the main positives is the cost. We were only charged $795 for 12 people to be present on the boat. They provided soda/water, chips, and 3 dozen roses to put on top of the ashes before they were lowered into the water.
Their boat was very comfortable, and the tour around the Long Beach Harbor, and Alamitos Bay was phenomenal, especially on what was a very hot day. Lastly, being Indian, and having many Indian family and friends attend, Pat was really great as he had spent time in India and was able to share some of his stories and I believe really helped our attendees feel comfortable. Also, they provided a really nice certificate that has the latitude and longitude of where the ashes were dropped. A really cool keepsake.
I cannot thank Pat and Sean enough for the incredible care and fantastic ocean excursion to send my dad off to his final resting place in Long Beach. Our family is extremely thankful.
Oh yeah, they have the most friendly crewcat on board, Buddy! A great addition to the excursion.
To anyone considering burial at sea, please contact The Angels Ashes as you will not be disappointed by their service, comfort, care, and overall professionalism!

It is with sincere pleasure that I want to share the absolutely wonderful experience and ceremony we had this past week to honor my father. Pat and his son were so very wonderful from the moment we contacted their organization and throughout the ceremony. The entire morning exceeded our expectations. The beautiful boat was spotless and ready to serve. Pat and his son met us early and walked us through the entire service. We had everything we had hoped for. Please do not hesitate to engage with this professional company and service. They were fantastic. With great appreciation, Sylvia Mary McFadden and Family

Dear Pat,
I want to thank you so much for your services to bury my parents' ashes together at sea, which is what they always wanted. You and your son made my family feel very comfortable and you took care of so much for us. (The roses were beautiful!)
We were all pleased with this wonderful way to honor our parents.
I love the beautiful letter and certificate you sent to me showing exactly where their ashes were lowered into the ocean. I will not hesitate to highly recommend your services to my friends.
It is with great comfort that I say "Thank You" again!

Finally had the opportunity to spread my wife's ashes this pass December. I have to say many thanks to Pat and the captain for accomodating us so close to Christmas 2022. The entire process was explained clearly and they were kind enough to take us to a location that we felt was more in line with what we needed. This was a very pleasant and memorable exercise for us. I cannot think of a better send off for my wife. Thank you so much!

I had my husband's ashes scattered at sea. After months of searching I found Pat and his yacht certified by the USCG. I am a veteran and Pat treated me as one of his military buddies. I was treated with respect and dignity. The ceremony was beautiful. He explained everything with such tenderness and care. I got to keep the urn and that was the best surprise. The day was sad but beautiful. Thank you Pat and Sean! You made my last good bye as bittersweet and as beautiful. Will recommend to all that need your services. Thank you!
