Commonwealth Senior Living at the Ballentine

I enjoyed a great, professional tour with Carolyn. The renovations look amazing and everyone was so friendly and welcoming walking around. It was clear the residents were happy and engaged in activities.

I'd like to start off with saying that this facility is one of the stand out facilities I've been to. This place has an exceptional lady that works here. Her name is Shante Blount and she is top notch. She shows compassion and empathy to the residents. One of the nicest people you could meet. Truly stands out and deserves to be recognized. Shante is exactly who I would want to be there for my loved ones. Thank you for what you do !

The Ballentine is my new home. It is WONDERFUL. Ms.Pat has been so very helpful and kind to me since I got here 4/5/25. She and her staff have been supportive, on point, encouraging, helpful and educating me about my Issues. Clean building, making improvements, Med Techs are fantastic 🤩. Plenty to do. Kitchen Staff is excellent. Maintenance, led by Alex, is exceptional!! Our Executive Director, Patrice, works with the Staff to ensure all is well. This community is not only a community, they are a family! Their staff is friendly, caring, considerate, loyal, warm, and dedicated. There is a mutual respect and understanding among leaders and staff. Director, nursing, sales, are encouraging and foster this delightful and fun environment. A wonderful choice for your loved ones in Norfolk, VA!💟

While ultimately we did not choose the Ballentine for our mom, our family was very pleased with our experience speaking with the staff. Carolyn, the sales director, was incredibly kind and informative. She made sure we had all the information we needed and was very empathetic to our situation. We also met Pat, the director of nursing, who was also very kind and knowledgable. i have not doubt the folks at the Ballentine are great care givers!
