Commonwealth Senior Living at Leigh Hall

I am so grateful for the care my mom receives here at CSL at Leigh Hall. All of the staff is compassionate, attentive, and truly takes the time to get to know each resident and their individual needs. They create a warm, loving environment where residents are treated with dignity, kindness, and genuine affection. Any concerns or requests are handled promptly, which gives our family great peace of mind. Since Mrs. Claudia Balarezo took over, I’ve noticed a tremendous positive difference. The improvements in communication, organization, and overall quality of care have been remarkable. A special thank-you to Mr. Dana Mayo, whose kindness, compassion, and dedication truly stands out. Dana consistently goes above and beyond to make both the residents and their families feel cared for, heard, and supported. His genuine warmth and commitment make a lasting difference, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he does. It’s comforting to know my mom is not only well cared for but also truly valued, loved, and treated like family. My siblings and I highly recommend this community to anyone looking for an assisted living facility for a loved one.

I truly feel as though that the management in this building are only worried about themselves rather than the residents. They are very inconsiderate when it comes to the staff . They are all very overworked and understaff . It doesn’t make sense and isn’t fair to anyone.

While I have a strong bond with the residents there , I have significant concerns regarding the current management. The Executive Director, Claudia, frequently utilizes a passive-aggressive communication style and demonstrates a notable lack of investment in the well-being of both residents and staff. Her leadership approach lacks the necessary empathy and genuine compassion required for such role, often appearing performative rather than sincere. Furthermore, she consistently dismisses the professional and personal concerns of others, creating an environment where others feel undervalued.

My Mom has been a resident at Leigh Hall for over 8 years now. I have been very impressed with how caring some of the staff members are there. Special recognition to the Med techs April, Ashley, Jeffrey, Renee, Mr. Tory and Mr. Mayo for always being willing to help the residents. April Collins is very detail oriented and attentive to any changes in status. The Leadership Team is very active and responsive to concerns from the family. The facility is very esthetically pleasing as well. They really need more help with though, it’s a lot of work taking care of patients.

Family Day was a great celebration where we as a family had the opportunity to mingle with other family members. We were pleased to see our loved ones enjoyed the time of dancing, singing. The food served was very good to include the desert. Mr Dana and his crew did a great job. It Was a pleasure for us to see the new administrators personally
